Wellcats Aims and Objectives
A List of Principle Objectives
- Wellcat's principle objectives have been successfully maintained since it's foundation (and will endevour to do so):
- To relieve the unnecessary suffering of cats and kittens - who, through no fault of their own, are in need of care and attention.
- To find permanent and loving homes - for all cats and the utmost care is undertaken in doing this.
- We have not and will not have an animal put to sleep - except on the instruction of a vet. If the animal is not in pain but can not be re homed due to illness, we will care for the animal for the rest of its natural life.
- Finding new homes - Despite desperately small premises and dwindling finances, last year alone the charity managed to find new homes for more than 500 cats and kittens. We intend to continue this work as long as possible.
- All cats are neutered - All cats, if old enough, are neutered before being rehomed.
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
