Neutering and Mastitis
Missy's Story (the Importance of Neutering)
Missy is one of the lucky cats that has, through intensive care, now started to heal well after coming down with mastitis, if Missy had not become pregnant in the first place, she would never had been put in this position of suffering from mastitis.
Many cats can suffer and die from this complaint. If it is not diagnosed and treated quickly enough it can be fatal and the death would be extremely painful.
Missy has a home to go to after she has had all her treatment but only one of her kittens has survived, the best way to prevent this happening in the first place is to NOT let them get pregnant. i.e. neuter them.
We will inform anyone that is interested in her progress on her well being. Pauline Beasley.
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
