Ways You Can Help Us
Please Lend a Hand, If You Can
As a charity relying solely on financial and food donations to continue our work, we urgently need any help that you can offer. We urgently require tuna, pilchards and cat milk to feed to the large number of kittens that arrive at Wellcat during the kitten seasons. With food and vet bills of around £300 per week and with heating bills during the winter of £35-£40 per week, money from your kind donations (plus our fundraising efforts) is swallowed up very, very quickly.
Making a Donation
Cheques should be made payable to: Wellcat Animal Rescue and sent to us at our address shown below. A donation is always gratefully received and no matter how small can significantly help towards our bills - literally every penny helps. If you wish to pay by Direct Debit, Standing Order or a one-off payment, please see our bank details, also shown below. Please remember that every little helps.
Our Address
30 Quinton Road West, Quinton, Birmingham, B32 2QD.
Our Bank Details
NatWest Bank, Halesowen Branch, 2 Hagley Road, Halesowen, B63 4RQ.
Account Number: 85254606 / Sort Code: 60-09-39
Anyone wishing to make a monthly donation: Please print off the forms below by clicking on the relevant links. Great idea from Jo Prior, who thought of Gift Aid. If you would like to donate this way (whatever amount you can afford), we have this facility. This way we can claim an additional 25% extra through the government.

Inland Revenue Information
A charity can reclaim the tax on money pledged through sponsorship forms, all that is required is for the sponsorship form to include an extra 'Gift Aid' column. As long as any person signing the sponsorship form includes their address and postcode in addition to their name, and ticks the 'Gift Aid' column (obviously they can only tick if they are a UK taxpayer), this eliminates the need to complete an individual Gift Aid form.

Other Ways You Could Help
Donations of cat food are fantastic. We have lots of mouths to feed and just one tin of food a week (even though it may not sound a lot) can make a huge difference. We have collection bins at Sainsbury's, Blackheath, and Kwik Save at Quinton. If you can persuade your local supermarket to support us with a collection bin, please contact us and we will provide the bin, collect the donations on a regular basis and also maintain the bin.
Holding your own fund-raising events. Car boot sales, raffles, coffee mornings, whip-rounds at work, sponsored walks/runs, bring and buy sales or even just a simple copper jar!
Providing suitable temporary foster homes for our cats and kittens.
Collecting and donating suitable items for sale by the charity. Please call first if you plan to donate household items, clothes etc.
If your business or organisation would also like to support us, please contact our fundraising coordinator Steph Goodman on 07773 385655. (As they say on Crimewatch, she is waiting to take your call!). Any help you can provide, however small, is always greatly appreciated. If you would like further information on how you can help us or if you would like to make a financial or food donation, e-mail friends@wellcat.org.uk.
Including Wellcat in a will. Another idea from Ron Burford (although it may seem a little morbid to some) but very practical nonetheless: people might consider including Wellcat in their wills. This is something that some kind friends of Wellcat have done. Should anyone consider doing this, the terminology used would be something like this:
'I give to Wellcat, Registered Charity Number 518860 of 30 Quinton Road West, Quinton, Birmingham, B32 2QD the residue (or % share of the residue) of my estate absolutely and I direct that (1) the proceeds may be used for the general purposes of Wellcat (2) a receipt signed by a person for the time being authorised by the president of Wellcat - Mrs Pauline Beasley - shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my executors'.
Some charities rely heavily on donations and Wellcat is no exception. As every charity emphasises 'Every little bit helps'. A very big thank you to all whose will has included Wellcat.
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
