Moo: Adopted by Karen
Hi Pauline, this is Karen Harvey in Selly Park. We rehomed one of your kitties on Christmas Eve two years ago and I thought I'd give you an update and a photo! When we came to you, we asked for a battered old knackered cat that no-one else would want to fit in with the other OAP cats we had. We decided on the little black ancient one in the shedpen.
as she really touched our hearts with her lovely little face. We were a bit worried about her when we got her home as she didn't move off the settee for a few days but after some turkey and fuss she started to show some interest. We took her to the vets for an MOT and discovered she has neurological problems between her eyes and brain, she is deaf and has arthritis hence not being able to walk properly.
She also has some deformities in her back and front legs. She is on medication for the arthritis which she loves in a bit of butter or squirty cream! She has the run of the house, or should that be the stagger of the house (!) and seems very happy. She can go outside through the cat flap for a mooch in the garden, but doesn't go far as the settee and a sunbeam are much better. It took a while but she gets on quite well with our other cats too.
She loves sitting on the settee and watching the squirrels come down for their breakfast. Her other favourite is a cardboard box - it's great fun to jump out at the other cats! We decided to call her Moo - short for MOVE! as she was always under our feet! I hope you've had a good Christmas and New Year and like the picture of Moo. Kind regards, Karen Harvey.
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
