Megan: Adopted by Michelle and Gary
Dear Pauline, We adopted 'Megan' from you on Good Friday 2004. She had been rescued with her mum and 2 brothers/sisters (not sure which) from a house in Quinton. We took a photo of her when we first had her which we have included in this mail and as you can see she was very thin. I don't know if you remember but her fur was very matted and full of lice.

We took her home and she spent the first few weeks hiding in her pet carrier. She would only come out at night to eat and would look guiltily at you when she did eat, almost to check that it was OK for her to have her food. After many weeks and months of hard work, TLC and coaxing, we have finally managed to build up her trust along with her weight and strength. As you can see from the photos, she is now a beautiful cat and is so sweet natured, which makes her a real pleasure to have around.

She enjoys being brushed and having lots of fuss and attention. We also own a Jack Russel dog 'Jake'. He was very curious and excited when she first arrived as he suddenly had a cat in his home! In fact one day he stuck his nose in her face and she swiped him one!!! Since then, he knows who is boss, and the two of them are best of frends and he thinks it's great having a playmate to get into trouble with.
They follow each other around, or sit together watching out the window. As for playing, they must chase each other around the house at least twice a day. They also wash each others' ears and tails which is really sweet to watch. There is still a long way to go - she hides whenever we have visitors but this is slowly getting better, but when there is just the 4 of us, she is out all the time and does not stop purring.
We would like to say a big thank you for introducing her to us, and we just wanted to let you know how happy she is and how much she is loved. Many Thanks again, Michelle & Gary Everitt (& Jake!!).
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
