Bell: Adopted by Sammy
Hi Pauline, its Sammy Martin. On the 22nd december 2005 my mom n' dad (James n' Wendy Martin) came to you looking for a kitten and they found an 18 week old female tabby.
They bought her for me and we had a few medical problems, which meant we were visiting you with the kitten every couple of days but all that was soon sorted and she was on the road to recovery. I am just writing to let you know that we stuck to the contract in getting my kitten (which I named Bell, it being christmas and everything) spayed and innoculated.
We also got her microchipped and insured in case anything does happen. We had a few minor problems with her settling in…one of our other cats didn't like her but they are fine now. She loves the dogs (she's a bit wary of my Chinchillas though) but she is still very timid, only opting to go to me and my dad and very rarely going to other people. She will not come to me or my dad if there is somebody strange with us but she knows her place in our house.
She's my cat and she knows that my room is her room. She sleeps in there of a night time and she knows the word "up" and "bed": these both mean to Bell 'I have got to go up the stairs now, it's time for bed'.
She is quite a clever little cat but I can't really call her little as she is absolutely massive. She's not fat but she weighs in at 5 ½-6kgs but is still quite skinny. She is very tall and very, very, long. She hates cat boxes…when we have to take her to the vets she usually ends up hanging off of me but thats her. She doesn't like the outdoors unless she is on her harness, but ever since I have had she has never liked outdoors but she did like the snow. I had added some pictures for you. The one of her lying down on the windowsill is when we first had her.
The one in the snow is the most recent but she absolutely loves snow (just like me) anyway I have rambled on an awful lot - you must have loads to do. Enjoy the pictures and thank you for letting me adopt Bell because she has given me no end of pleasure and has improved my life so much. Thank you, Sammy and Bell.
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
