Fourteen New Arrivals Seeking Loving Homes
Text reads: "An urgent plea has gone out for cat lovers to adopt a cat after 14 felines were left homeless when their owner died.
The cats are currently being looked after by Quinton-based charity Wellcat after they were found locked in their former home following the death of pensioner Hazel Faraday. But owner Pauline Roberts is desperately seeking new homes for the 14 new arrivals with her Quinton Road West sanctuary running to capacity. She said: "They are all grieving and missing their owner but I have already got a house full with older cats I am trying to find homes for. This has put us under enormous strain. "They are used to living with seven dogs and they are used to mixing with other cats. We are desperately looking for new homes." The 10 tomcats and four females are all adult cats, with some estimated at over ten years old. Anyone who can offer a cat a good home is urged to call Pauline on 0121 426 5594. Food or donations towards vet bills is also gratefully accepted".
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
