Considerations When Adopting a Cat or Kitten
Things To Be Mindful Of
All too often, people take home a cute and fluffy kitten without really giving enough consideration to the animals future and costs that will be involved in it's care. At approximately £45, the cost for spaying a female cat often comes as a shock and the owner can decide against having this procedure carried out. Add to this the cost of yearly vaccinations, flea and worm treatments and medical care when needed and the end result is that of abandonment: this years very cute and cuddly playful kitten is next years abandoned mum with a litter of kittens of her own. The cycle then continues on with her own kittens quickly coming to maturity and birthing kittens of their own or, in the case of the males, fathering more litters.
*Please support us and all cat organizations by neutering your cats and help to prevent the needless reproduction cycle and subsequent deaths.
There are no new mature cats available for the moment, although we have plenty of feral cats that need a good home.
