Welcome to Wellcat!
Cats In Need (July 2008)
Wellcat has quite a large number of cats at the moment, and a large number of kittens. If you can help offer a kind and loving home to one of our temporary residents please give Pauline a ring on 0121 426 5594.
Kitten Season…
Unfortunately the kitten season has started. Wellcat have many Moms and Babies in foster homes but we need more volunteers to help as fosterers. If you can foster a pregnant mom and kittens, please contact Pauline on 0121 426 5594.. Alternatively, if you can provide some kitten food it would be gratefully received.
Neutering and Mastitis…
Missy is one of the lucky cats that has, through intensive care, now started to heal well after coming down with mastitis, if Missy had not become pregnant in the first place, she would never had been put in this position of suffering from mastitis. Many cats can suffer and die from this complaint. Read More about Missy's struggle with Mastitis…
Hannah the Hedgehog…
Pauline has hand-reared Hannah for 12 months and would love for her to go to a small and secure garden where she can receive love and attention from a hedgehog lover. If you feel that you can help please contact Pauline on 0121 426 5594.
New Home For Sally! (21/06/2008)…
Sally the deaf cat has now found a lovely new home in Birmingham! From Rhon and Dudley who are temporarily caretaking Sally: "In the meantime, our little friend will be kept warm, safe and fed and more importantly ……… LOVED!"
An Overabundance of Ferals!
Wellcat has a great many feral cats that are in need of good homes (21 of which are listed on this Web site…so there's a lot to choose from!). You can learn more about the benefits of keeping feral cats by visiting our Cats page and you will see a link to three pages of feral cats there (alternatively, you can click on the image to the left to view the pages directly). Feral cats are best suited to living on a farm, stables or small-holdings where they can work for their keep - and keep the mice and rat population down. And don't forget, they happily work in pairs!
Crystal Therapy For Pets and Their Owners
Many people these days are trying complementary treatments for themselves and their pets. These work alongside advice and treatment given by their doctors and vets. Ancient civilizations (Eygptians, Aztecs, Greeks etc.) believed crystals held within them therapeutic properties. These beliefs are still held by many and crystals are now been used worldwide. If you are interested in finding out more and/or purchasing crystals, please visit us at:

Our 100th Happy Tail!
Wellcat has rehomed many cats over the years and every once in a while happy owners write in to share their stories (if you've visited this site before you may know about our Happy Tails! section and have read a few of the stories). Well (cue drum roll…) wellcat.org.uk is happy to announce the submission of it's 100th Happy Tail! (Alfie and Maisy, submitted by Kyrie Llewellyn). Many thanks to all who have written in over the years, and please do keep sending your stories in!
Our Latest Happy Tail…
Sally the deaf cat now called Zoe has settled in very well here in Sheldon. She is not fazed at all by Allie our deaf white Boxer and with a few warning hisses has put the 10-year-old firmly in her place.… Read more…
